Our attitude affects our disposition.
Our disposition affects our condition.
If your condition is one of depression, anxiety, or other dark abodes, it may be time to change your beliefs.
There is little you can do with your disposition; that is, your frame of mind. It doesn’t work to say, “Go away depression!” Likewise, an attitude is made up of years of thinking and acting a certain way. It doesn’t work to say, “I won’t be a critical person any longer.” Changing our thoughts offers hope, through cognitive behavioral therapy and other counseling.
But the best way of changing your condition is by changing your beliefs, by trading the lies that have kept you in a dark place to the truths that will set you free. We’ll explore some lies and truths in the next blog.
